Preacher will continue to spread the gospel at AMC
The basic cable network has renewed the drama based on the Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon-created comic series for a fourth season.
Production on the 10-episode season will resume early next year in Australia as the Sony Pictures Television drama relocates from its hubs in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and New Orleans.
“Preacher is a show unlike any other on television. A passionate base of fans found their way to Jesse (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) and have followed along with their adventures, at times indescribable adventures, for three seasons,” AMC president of programming David Madden said Thursday in a statement. “We are thankful to our partners at Sony and to Seth, Evan and Sam for everything they have brought to this series, which we are pleased to renew for a fourth season. Like the superfans of Preacher, we can’t wait to see where this journey leads next.”
A return date for season four has not yet been determined for the series, which is produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and showrunner Sam Caitlin.
