Here’s A Little Backstory On The Desperate Housewives Cast That You Might Want To Know Before The Premiere

share on:

Some of them might look familiar, some might not. But before the April 30 premiere of the popular show, here is a little backstory on the stars.

Kehinde Bankole
She got her big break starring in Wale Adenuga’s Superstory some ten years ago and even though she was not in mainstream entertainment for a long time, she might have returned to take her place at the top.

Kehinde won her first AMVCA (which is also her first major award) last month with a prize money of a million naira for starring in the acclaimed Kunle Afolayan movie, October 1.

She has starred in different shows, films (both English and Yoruba) and is good at what she does.

So we expect her to bring her A game to the character of Kiki Obi when Desperate Housewives commences.

Michelle Dede
Her Instagram bio reads, Multilingual TV Presenter, Events Host, Actor and VO Artist.

That says a lot about this cast member – versatile, multi tasker and creative.

Michelle Dede was a co-host on the first and only Big Brother Nigeria several years ago and a co-producer on the hit romantic comedy, Flower Girl.

With this CV, it is safe to say Michelle is not going to come unprepared.

Dolapo Oni
She might need no introductions but Ms Oni like everyone else has a past.

Prior to her gig as a TV host in Nigeria, Dolapo starred in many stage dramas in the UK. One of it being a successful play written by UK based Nigerian writer, Dipo Agboluaje.

Dolapo has also starred in the successful Mnet show, Jacob’s Cross, Co-hosted 53Extra with Eku Edewor on Africa Magic for three years and currently is a co-host on Ebony Life TV’s Moments with Mo.

Her past is bright, the future (including the show) should get brighter, yeah?

Nini Wacera
She might be relatively unknown to this part of Africa but she is not a first timer when it comes to TV.

Nini Wacera has an impressive resume.

A talented actress, in features, the popular Kenyan show, Kona, Nini has been here for a while.

Nini is also said to have worked with Teco Benson in the past for a movie. So it is safe to say she is used to working with a foreign cast.

We look forward to seeing Nini on our TV screens come April 30

Omotu Bissong
MBGN 2003, TV presenter and actress, Omotu is not a newbie to these things.

An acting major and with roles in Tinsel, Be My Guest, Omotu has already worked on her skills.

She has presented The Peak Talent Hunt Show and DSTV’s Africa Awakes.

With this cast, Desperate Housewives seem to be looking good.
